Warner Bros to remake 'The Bodyguard' Thursday February 24, 2011 USA

Warner Bros has confirmed plans to remake its early '90s romantic thriller The Bodyguard.

The studio has hired writers Jeremiah Friedman and Nick Palmer to pen a new script based on the Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner box office hit, says Deadline.

The remake will reportedly centre on a bodyguard whose first job after leaving Iraq is to look after a rising female music star. With Twitter, Google Maps and rolling celebrity news coverage, he finds that the threats against his client have been amplified.

Franco, Hathaway for 'Grease' Oscar performance Thursday February 24, 2011 USA

Academy Award co-hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway may pay tribute to Grease at this weekend's ceremony.

127 Hours star Franco posted a 19-second video on his Twitter account yesterday showing footage of rehearsals for Sunday's live event.

The video shows glimpses of Franco and Hathaway appearing to recreate John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John's fairground number from the 1978 musical.

Franco previously released audio of his rendition of Cher's Burlesque track 'You Haven't Seen The Last of Me' via his Twitter account, noting that it had been "pulled" from the Oscars show.
